Product Analysis-Product Liability

Our laboratory facilities enable us to provide a wide range of engineering and testing capabilities for product analysis and product liability. Engineering loss or fire investigation cases may require additional scientific testing to document the exact cause of failure, whether in an appliance, wire or piece of metal.

We have successfully defended manufacturers and their products against unwarranted legal actions. A library of documented losses involving products and years of experience in testing provide a keen awareness of pre-existing problems. Often a duplicate unit will be purchased and used during laboratory analysis for better understanding of the product as well as providing a visual aid for potential testimony when necessary.

Many of the product failure cases involve metallurgical aspects relating to cause. Metals, in general, require a detailed product examination which is performed in-house by a qualified metallurgist.
